“Smack that Piñata” Dia di Betico pre-game at MooMba Beach
On January 25th, Aruba celebrates “Dia di Betico” to commemorate the honorable Betico Croes, a former statesman and the driving force behind Aruba’s "Status Aparte" in the Dutch Kingdom. At MooMba Beach, we have piñatas filled with mini-fireball bottles and candy to be lowered at midnight and kick off his birthday celebration with a hit!

Smacking a piñata is tradition that originated in Mexico where hitting a handmade paper figure with a stick symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Well, at MooMba it’s simply a fun way to celebrate the birthday of Betico Croes with a smashing party, Friday January 24th starting at 9pm. There will be specials on Fireball the entire night and live music on stage by C-zar & Friends.
